Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what information DeepRoute collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. Because our service is for high school athletes, many of whom are minors, we aim to collect only what is needed to carry out recruiting outreach.

Information we collect

When you submit an application, we collect:

  • Athlete name, email, and optional phone number
  • Parent or guardian name, email, and phone number
  • High school name, city, state, and zip code
  • Graduation year, position(s), height, and weight
  • Optional: 40-yard dash time, GPA, ACT/SAT score, and intended major
  • A link to the athlete's highlight film
  • Target division levels, states, and schools of interest
  • How you heard about us, and your consent confirmations, including whether you agreed (optional) to success-story sharing

If you subscribe, payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our own servers.

How we use it

  • To review your application and build the athlete's recruiting materials
  • To contact college coaching staffs on the athlete's behalf
  • To communicate with the parent or guardian, including progress updates
  • If the parent or guardian opted in, to share an athlete's success story on our website and social media
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service, and to meet legal obligations

Who we share it with

College coaches and staff. Sharing the athlete's information with coaches is the purpose of the service. Outreach may include the athlete's name, school, graduation year, position, measurables, academic information the family provided, highlight film link, and contact details.

Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the service, such as our website and database hosts, payment processor, and email and communication tools. They may handle information only to provide their services to us.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

The public, only with your permission. If a parent or guardian opts in to success stories, we may post the athlete's name, school, graduation year, photo, highlight film, and any quote provided, along with news of an offer or commitment. We confirm with the parent or guardian before posting and never include a home address or phone number.

We do not sell personal information.

Children and minors

The account holder for any athlete must be a parent or guardian, and the application is meant to be completed by that parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information without a parent's permission, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

If we decline an application or it does not lead to a subscription, we delete the information submitted within 3 months of our decision. [Add how long we keep data for active customers after a subscription ends.]

Your choices and rights

A parent or guardian can ask us to show, correct, or delete the athlete's information, or to stop contacting coaches, by emailing [your contact email]. The same email withdraws success-story permission at any time. Some information may need to be kept for legal or record-keeping reasons. Coaches can opt out of our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by replying.

Security

We use reputable hosting and database providers and limit who can see applications. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies and tracking

We do not currently use advertising trackers on this website. If this changes, we will update this policy.
